Marilyn Manson in San Antonio

Marilyn Manson is an American industrial-rock act formed in Fort Lauderdale in 1989 and centered on vocalist Brian Warner, who performs under the same name. Its best-known albums include Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death), while “The Beautiful People,” “The Dope Show” and a cover of “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” became signature songs. The Dead to the World Tour followed in 1996 and 1997, before the Rock Is Dead Tour supported the next album cycle in 1998 and 1999. The Guns, God and Government Tour carried the act into the early 2000s; later, Marilyn Manson co-headlined the Twins of Evil tours with Rob Zombie and toured with Alice Cooper on Masters of Madness. Marilyn Manson appeared more than once at Ozzfest. The act later returned to England’s Download Festival and performed repeatedly at Germany’s Rock am Ring.
