Marina Rebeka in Buenos Aires

Marina Rebeka is a Latvian operatic soprano, born in Riga in 1980. She is known for Mozart, Rossini and Verdi repertoire, including Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Violetta in La traviata and the title role in Norma. In 2009, she sang Anaï in Rossini’s Moïse et Pharaon at the Salzburg Festival. Two years later, she made her Metropolitan Opera debut as Donna Anna, and she has since taken leading roles at the Vienna State Opera and La Scala.
