Marisa Anderson in Los Angeles

Marisa Anderson is an American guitarist and composer based in Portland, Oregon. Her instrumental music draws on folk, blues, country and experimental traditions, and her best-known records include Mercury, Into the Light and Still, Here. In 2018, she played a solo NPR Tiny Desk Concert, performing material from Cloud Corner on electric guitar. She later brought two collaborative albums to concert settings: The Quickening in guitar-and-drums performances with Jim White, followed by two-guitar shows built around Lost Futures with William Tyler.
