Marky Ramone in Asbury Park

Marky Ramone is an American punk-rock drummer, born Marc Bell in Brooklyn in 1952. He is best known for his two periods with Ramones, from 1978 to 1983 and from 1987 until the band’s breakup. His recordings with the group include Road to Ruin, End of the Century and Mondo Bizarro, as well as “I Wanna Be Sedated.” Ramones performed at the US Festival in 1982 with him on drums. After rejoining the group in 1987, he remained through its final concert at The Palace in Los Angeles in 1996. Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg presents a full-band punk set centered on the Ramones catalog. The group toured in 2013 with Andrew W.K. handling lead vocals.
