Marlon Magnée in Boston

Marlon Magnée is a French singer, keyboardist, guitarist and composer, best known as a co-founder and principal songwriter of La Femme. He formed the group in Biarritz with guitarist Sacha Got after they met at school, and they later moved to Paris. Their albums include Psycho Tropical Berlin, Mystère, Paradigmes and Teatro Lúcido; Psycho Tropical Berlin received the Victoire de la Musique for Album Révélation of the Year. La Femme undertook a self-booked US tour after releasing its first EP. The group later performed in Argentina at the 2016 Music Wins festival.

Freezepop is an American electronic synth-pop band formed in Boston in 1999 by Liz Enthusiasm, Sean T. Drinkwater and Kasson Crooker, who performed as the Duke of Pannekoeken. The group debuted with Freezepop Forever in 2000 and followed it with albums including Fancy Ultra Fresh, Future Future Future Perfect and Imaginary Friends. Its music appeared in the video games Frequency, Amplitude, Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution. Freezepop won Best New Band at the 2002 American Synthpop Awards and reached the semifinals of WBCN’s Rumble competition. After the release of Fancy Ultra Fresh, Freezepop toured North America and Europe as a trio comprising Liz Enthusiasm, Sean T. Drinkwater and Kasson Crooker.
