Tingvall Trio in Fürstenwalde

Tingvall Trio is a contemporary jazz group formed in Hamburg in 2003 by Swedish pianist and composer Martin Tingvall, Cuban double bassist Omar Rodriguez Calvo and German drummer Jürgen Spiegel. The trio plays melodic original music and is known for albums including Skagerrak, Norr, Vattensaga, Vägen, Beat, Cirklar, Dance and Birds. The live album In Concert followed the group’s first four studio records and documented its established piano, bass and drums format. The trio has since taken material from its later albums through European jazz clubs, theatres and festivals, keeping the concert repertoire centered on compositions by Martin Tingvall.
