Martin Zellar in Minneapolis

Martin Zellar is an American singer-songwriter from Austin, Minnesota, known as the frontman of the country-rock band Gear Daddies. His catalog includes the Gear Daddies songs “Stupid Boy,” “Color of Her Eyes” and “Zamboni,” followed by solo records such as The Many Moods of Martin Zellar and the Hardways and Blown Kisses. In 1991, he performed “Stupid Boy” with Gear Daddies on Late Night with David Letterman. After the band broke up, Martin Zellar toured and recorded with the Hardways, while later Gear Daddies reunions returned him to club stages including First Avenue in Minneapolis.
