About Marvin Sapp
Marvin Sapp is an American gospel singer, songwriter and pastor, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1967. He sang with the gospel group Commissioned before beginning his solo recording career with the self-titled album Marvin Sapp. He is best known for “Never Would Have Made It” from Thirsty and “The Best in Me” from Here I Am.
The 2007 album Thirsty came from a live worship recording at Resurrection Life Church in Wyoming, Michigan. He returned to the venue in 2009 to record Here I Am; his next live album, I Win, was recorded at Evangel Cathedral in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
