Mashina Vremeni in Vilnius

Mashina Vremeni is a Russian rock band formed in Moscow in 1969 by singer, guitarist and songwriter Andrei Makarevich. Its music draws on rock and roll, blues rock and the singer-songwriter tradition, and its best-known songs include “Povorot,” “Marionetki,” “Kostyor” and “Odnazhdy mir prognetsya pod nas.” In 1980, Mashina Vremeni performed at the Spring Rhythms festival in Tbilisi as the band entered professional concert life. It marked its 30th anniversary at Luzhniki Stadium in 1999, then celebrated 40 years with a concert at Moscow’s Olimpiyskiy in 2009.
