MASTER BOOT RECORD is an Italian electronic-metal project founded by producer and musician Victor Love in 2016. Its instrumental music draws on chiptune, industrial metal and dark synth textures, framed through computer-code titles and imagery. Albums including Floppy Disk Overdrive, Personal Computer and HARDWAREZ established the project’s mix of synthesized riffs, programmed rhythms and heavy guitar writing. MASTER BOOT RECORD began performing live in 2023, translating the programmed compositions into a band setup for club and festival stages. An appearance at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg was followed by a performance at ArcTanGent near Bristol.
