Ministry in Prague

Ministry is an American industrial metal band formed in Chicago in 1981 by Al Jourgensen. After the synth-pop sound of the debut album With Sympathy, the group turned toward abrasive guitars, electronics and mechanical rhythms on The Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste and Psalm 69. Its best-known songs include “Stigmata,” “Thieves,” “N.W.O.” and “Just One Fix.” Ministry performed on the main stage of the traveling Lollapalooza festival in 1992. The 1996 Sphinctour was documented in a live album and concert film, while the 2008 C U LaTour was announced as a farewell run. The band later returned to the road and launched the Defibrillatour in 2012.

Die Krupps are a German industrial band formed in Düsseldorf in 1980 by Jürgen Engler and Bernward Malaka. Their early releases, including Stahlwerksynfonie and Volle Kraft voraus!, used electronics and metal percussion; later albums such as I and II – The Final Option brought electric guitars into the group’s sound. Their best-known songs include “Wahre Arbeit, wahrer Lohn,” “Fatherland” and “To the Hilt.” In the 1990s, Die Krupps toured Europe and North America with a full-band setup built around electronics, guitars and struck metal. Their later festival appearances included Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig and M’era Luna near Hildesheim.
