Matchbox Twenty is an American rock band formed in Orlando in 1995 and led by singer-songwriter Rob Thomas. The band’s debut album, Yourself or Someone Like You, introduced songs including “Push,” “3AM” and “Real World.” Mad Season followed with “Bent” and “If You’re Gone,” while More Than You Think You Are included “Unwell.” The Mad Season Tour took Matchbox Twenty through North America and Europe in 2000 and 2001. A 2003 performance at Philips Arena in Atlanta was filmed for Show: A Night in the Life of Matchbox Twenty. The band later co-headlined a North American tour with Goo Goo Dolls in 2013 and toured with Counting Crows on the 2017 A Brief History of Everything Tour, followed by another large-venue run on the 2023 Slow Dream Tour.

The live album At the Point documents his acoustic-led shows at The Point in Bryn Mawr. In 2015, he joined Train and The Fray for the amphitheater dates of the Picasso at the Wheel Summer Tour. Three years later, he and O.A.R. toured together on the Just Like Paradise Tour.
