Mathias Tretter is a German cabaret performer and writer, born in Würzburg in 1972. His solo work focuses on political satire, language, media and public life. He has also performed with Claus von Wagner and Philipp Weber in the Erstes Deutsches Zwangsensemble, including the trio’s programme Mach 3! Tretter began performing solo cabaret in 2004 with Die Brille zur Macht. He later toured German cabaret theatres with the programmes Selfie and Pop, followed by Sittenstrolch.
