About Matmatah
Matmatah are a French rock band formed in Brest in 1995. Their guitar-driven songs draw on Breton and Celtic music, particularly the early single “Lambé An Dro”; “Emma” and the debut album La Ouache also established their place in French rock, followed by records including Rebelote and Plates Coutures.
Following their reunion, Matmatah returned to concert stages in 2017 and performed at the Vieilles Charrues festival that summer. The band later toured behind Miscellanées Bissextiles, bringing its full-band rock set to the Accor Arena in Paris in 2023.
