Matogrosso & Mathias in Indaiatuba

Matogrosso & Mathias is a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed in 1976 by João Batista Bernardo, known as Matogrosso, and Anísio Roberto de Carvalho, the original Mathias. The Mathias role has passed to different singers over the group’s history, while its repertoire has centered on romantic sertanejo songs including “Pedaço de Minha Vida,” “24 Horas de Amor,” “De Igual para Igual” and “Tentei Te Esquecer.” 30 Anos ao Vivo documented the duo’s stage repertoire after three decades of performing. They later celebrated another career milestone through 40 Anos ao Vivo, a concert project featuring appearances by sertanejo artists including Bruno & Marrone and Gusttavo Lima.
