Matt Andersen is a Canadian blues singer-songwriter and guitarist from New Brunswick, known for his resonant baritone and fingerstyle acoustic playing. His releases include Weightless, Honest Man and Halfway Home by Morning. In 2010, he won the solo/duo category at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, becoming the first Canadian to win the event. He later toured in both solo acoustic and full-band formats and performed at Glastonbury Festival. The concert album Live from the Phoenix Theatre documents a Toronto club show. Live at Olympic Hall captures Matt Andersen and the Mellotones performing in a Halifax hall.
