Jill Barber in Calgary

Jill Barber is a Canadian singer-songwriter, born in Toronto in 1980, whose music moves through folk, jazz, pop and French chanson. She became known through albums including Chances, Mischievous Moon and the French-language Chansons; later releases include Metaphora and Homemaker. Her best-known songs include “Chances” and “Never Quit Loving You.” In 2016, she toured with her brother Matthew Barber following their collaborative record The Family Album. She later took Homemaker to Canadian theatres in 2023. Her theatre-scale work has included concerts at Massey Hall in Toronto and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
