Matthew Good & I Mother Earth in Coquitlam

Matthew Good is a Canadian alternative-rock singer-songwriter born in Burnaby, British Columbia. He fronted Matthew Good Band, whose albums include Underdogs and Beautiful Midnight and whose best-known songs include “Apparitions,” “Load Me Up” and “Strange Days.” His solo catalogue includes Avalanche and Hospital Music. A 2008 concert at Toronto’s Massey Hall was recorded for the album Live at Massey Hall, documenting a full-band set drawn from his solo work and Matthew Good Band material. He toured Canada behind Chaotic Neutral in 2015, then joined Our Lady Peace for a co-headlining Canadian tour in 2018.

I Mother Earth is a Canadian alternative-rock band formed in Toronto in 1990. Its music draws on progressive rock and funk, and the albums Dig and Scenery and Fish yielded songs including “Rain Will Fall,” “One More Astronaut” and “Another Sunday.” Edwin sang on those records, while Brian Byrne fronted the band on Blue Green Orange and The Quicksilver Meat Dream. I Mother Earth performed at Woodstock ’94 and later joined Rush for dates on the Test for Echo tour. After an extended break from performing, the band reunited with Edwin for two concerts in 2012 at Sound Academy.
