Matthew Halsall is a British trumpeter, composer, bandleader and producer from Manchester whose music draws on spiritual jazz, modal jazz and ambient textures. He founded Gondwana Records and established his sound through albums including Sending My Love, Fletcher Moss Park, When the World Was One, Salute to the Sun and An Ever Changing View.

In 2024, Matthew Halsall led his ensemble at London’s Royal Albert Hall, presenting the spacious, trumpet-led repertoire associated with An Ever Changing View. That year he also performed on the West Holts stage at Glastonbury Festival.
