Maurice Steger in Kuala Lumpur

Maurice Steger is a Swiss recorder player and conductor, born in Winterthur in 1971, whose repertoire centers on Baroque and early music. He is known for agile interpretations of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century music, and his recordings include Una Follia di Napoli, Souvenirs d’Italie and Mr Corelli in London. Maurice Steger has performed as a soloist and conductor with ensembles including The English Concert, the Venice Baroque Orchestra and Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin. He has given recitals at Wigmore Hall in London and appeared in festival programs at the Lucerne Festival.
