Maurizio Vandelli is an Italian singer, guitarist and songwriter born in 1944, best known as the frontman and lead voice of the beat group Equipe 84. His repertoire includes “Io ho in mente te,” “29 settembre” and “Tutta mia la città,” songs closely associated with Italian pop and rock of the 1960s. The 2018 Love and Peace Tour paired him with Shel Shapiro for concerts drawing on the music of Equipe 84 and The Rokes. He later brought Lucio Battisti’s songbook to Italian theatres in Emozioni Garantite, a project devoted to compositions by Battisti and Mogol.
