Artist
Maya Ongaku are a Japanese trio formed in 2021 around the coastal community of Enoshima. They play psychedelic folk and ambient rock, using understated electronic textures and improvisation. Their debut album, Approach to Anima, includes the songs “Melting” and “Something in Morning Rain.” In 2023, Maya Ongaku performed at Le Guess Who? in Utrecht and Les Trans Musicales in Rennes. During the latter festival, they recorded a live session for KEXP.
