About Mayorkun
Mayorkun is a Nigerian afropop singer-songwriter, born Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel in 1994. Davido signed him to Davido Music Worldwide after discovering one of his cover videos, and the 2016 single “Eleko” introduced him to a wider audience. His catalogue includes “Mama,” “Geng” and “Certified Loner (No Competition),” as well as the albums The Mayor of Lagos and Back in Office.
The Mayor of Lagos concert began as a headline show at the Hard Rock Cafe in Lagos in 2017. The 2018 edition moved to the Balmoral Convention Centre at the Federal Palace Hotel.
