Médine in Joué-lès-Tours

Médine is a French rapper from Le Havre, born in 1983 to a family of Algerian heritage. He is known for politically engaged hip-hop and albums including 11 septembre, récit du 11e jour, Arabian Panther and Prose Élite, as well as tracks such as “Don’t Laïk” and “Grand Paris.” The Prose Élite Tour brought Médine to the Olympia in 2017 for a concert built around the album released that year. In 2018, he cancelled two planned Bataclan concerts after sustained opposition to the booking. He performed at Rock en Seine in 2023 and has also appeared at the Fête de l’Humanité.
