Ali Azimi is an Iranian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Tehran in 1977, known for Persian-language alternative rock and the song “Pishdaramad.” He founded the London band Radio Tehran before recording solo albums including Mr Mean and Ezzat Ziadi. Radio Tehran performed at WOMAD at Charlton Park before Ali Azimi began touring under his own name. His solo concerts feature a rock band and material from across his catalogue, and he has taken that format to London, Toronto and New York.
