Melanie Martinez is an American singer-songwriter and visual artist born in New York in 1995. She appeared as a contestant on The Voice in 2012, then introduced the character-driven world of Cry Baby through the songs “Dollhouse,” “Pity Party” and “Soap.” The albums K-12 and Portals continued that narrative approach through alternative pop, electronic production and accompanying films or videos. The Cry Baby Tour supported her debut album in 2015 and 2016, bringing its songs to clubs and theatres. She followed it with the K-12 Tour in 2019, then returned to larger theatres and arenas for the Portals Tour in 2023. The Trilogy Tour in 2024 assembled all three album eras into one arena show. Far beyond her native New York, she has performed at The O2 in London and Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
