Melendi in Barakaldo

Melendi is a Spanish singer-songwriter born in Oviedo in 1979. He first became known for rumba-driven pop rock on the album Sin noticias de Holanda, and his catalogue includes songs such as “Caminando por la vida,” “Tu jardín con enanitos” and “Destino o casualidad.” His later records moved toward a more polished pop sound. In 2023, Melendi launched Gira 20 años sin noticias to mark two decades since his debut album. The retrospective set drew on different stages of his catalogue, and the tour brought him to Madrid’s WiZink Center.
