Melody in Gijón

Melody is the stage name of Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez, a Spanish singer, songwriter, dancer and actress born in 1990 in Dos Hermanas, Seville. She debuted at age ten with the 2001 album De Pata Negra, which included the rumba and merengue song “El Baile del Gorila” and the Latin pop ballad “Besos de Cristal.” Her other studio albums include Muévete, T.Q.M., Melodía, Los buenos días and Mucho camino por andar. At the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, she represented Spain with “Esa diva” and finished 24th.
