MEMORIALS in Kingston

MEMORIALS is a British experimental-rock duo formed by Verity Susman of Electrelane and Matthew Simms of Wire and It Hugs Back. The group plays psychedelic rock shaped by electronics, tape collage and post-punk rhythms. Its debut album, Memorial Waterslides, established its song-based work. The project began with commissions to write and perform live scores for screenings of the documentaries Tramps! and Women Against the Bomb. The duo later played clubs as a two-person band, where Verity Susman and Matthew Simms switch among guitar, keyboards, saxophone, percussion and electronics.
