Artists
Mental Cruelty are a German metal band formed in Karlsruhe in 2014. Their music developed from slamming deathcore into blackened deathcore, documented across the albums Purgatorium, Inferis, A Hill to Die Upon and Zwielicht. Mental Cruelty performed at Summer Breeze Open Air in 2023, bringing material from Zwielicht to the festival. In 2024, the co-headlining Zwielicht Tour took them through European clubs with Ov Sulfur, Ghost Bath and Extermination Dismemberment.
Ov Sulfur is an American blackened deathcore band formed in Las Vegas in 2020 by vocalist Ricky Hoover, formerly of Suffokate. The group introduced its mix of deathcore, death metal and symphonic black-metal textures on the EP Oblivion, then released the album The Burden Ov Faith, which includes “Wide Open” featuring Howard Jones. In 2022, Ov Sulfur joined As I Lay Dying’s Two Decades of Destruction tour alongside Whitechapel and Shadow of Intent. Later that year, the band toured North American clubs and theatres as an opener on Lorna Shore’s Pain Remains Tour.
