Metallica in Uncasville

Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1981 by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Its early albums helped establish the sound of thrash metal, while Master of Puppets and the self-titled record known as The Black Album became central to its catalogue. Its best-known songs include “Enter Sandman,” “One” and “Nothing Else Matters.” The Damaged Justice tour took Metallica through arenas in 1988 and 1989, followed in 1991 by the Monsters of Rock concert at Tushino Airfield in Moscow. In 1999, the band recorded S&M at Berkeley Community Theatre, performing with an orchestra conducted by Michael Kamen. The WorldWired Tour filled arenas and stadiums between 2016 and 2019, and the M72 World Tour introduced two-night No Repeat Weekends featuring different set lists and a circular stage at midfield. Metallica has repeatedly played hometown concerts in San Francisco; on multiple tours, the band has also returned to stadiums in Buenos Aires and Amsterdam.

Suicidal Tendencies are an American crossover-thrash band formed in 1980 in Venice, Los Angeles, by vocalist Mike Muir. Their music connects hardcore punk with thrash metal, and their best-known work includes “Institutionalized,” “Possessed to Skate,” “You Can’t Bring Me Down” and the albums Join the Army and Lights...Camera...Revolution!. In 1990, the band joined Slayer, Megadeth and Testament for the European dates of the Clash of the Titans tour. It performed at Woodstock ’99 nine years later, then joined Children of Bodom and Havok on the Dystopia World Tour in 2016. Download Festival brought the band to Donington Park. Suicidal Tendencies have also performed at Hellfest in Clisson.
