Mia Asano in San Diego

Mia Asano is an American electric violinist who plays rock, metal, pop and Celtic material. She is known for her solo performance videos and for Mia x Ally, her violin-and-bagpipe duo with Ally Crowley-Duncan, whose repertoire includes “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Mia Asano has toured as a guest with DragonForce, bringing electric violin into the power-metal band’s concerts. She later took Mia x Ally through North American clubs and theatres on the Devil’s Dance Tour; at the duo’s shows, she performs electric violin opposite Ally Crowley-Duncan on bagpipes.
