Michael Wong in Guangzhou

Michael Wong is a Malaysian singer-songwriter, born in Ipoh in 1970, who performs Mandarin pop and piano-led ballads. He first became known through the duo Michael & Victor with Victor Wong before pursuing a solo career. His signature recordings include “First Time” and “Fairy Tale,” the title track of his 2005 album. The 2006 Fairy Tale concert at Hong Kong Coliseum was his first solo headline show in the city. He subsequently toured the concert across Asia, while later arena performances included the Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands and Singapore Indoor Stadium.
