Michel Fugain in Drummondville

Michel Fugain is a French singer-songwriter, born in Grenoble in 1942, whose melodic pop and chanson became closely associated with Le Big Bazar, the musical troupe he formed in 1972. His best-known songs include “Une belle histoire,” “Fais comme l’oiseau,” “Je n’aurai pas le temps” and “Chante.” Le Big Bazar took its theatrical song-and-dance productions to the Olympia in Paris, where Fugain’s compositions were presented by a large vocal and instrumental ensemble. He later toured theatres under his own name, revisiting his repertoire in productions including La Causerie musicale, a show combining songs with stories about their creation.
