Micky Dolenz in Beverly

Micky Dolenz is an American singer, drummer and actor, born in Los Angeles in 1945. He is best known as a member of The Monkees, the pop-rock group created for the television series of the same name. Dolenz sang lead on “Last Train to Clarksville,” “I’m a Believer” and “Pleasant Valley Sunday.” The Monkees began playing concerts in 1966 and toured the United States and Britain the following year; Jimi Hendrix opened several dates on the American run. Dolenz reunited with Davy Jones and Peter Tork for the 20th Anniversary Tour in 1986, then returned to the road with Michael Nesmith for The Mike & Micky Show in 2018. Their partnership culminated in The Monkees Farewell Tour in 2021, completed shortly before the death of Michael Nesmith.
