Miguel Araújo is a Portuguese singer-songwriter, born in 1978, whose music draws on acoustic pop, rock and folk traditions. A member of Os Azeitonas before establishing a solo career, he released his debut solo album, Cinco Dias e Meio, in 2012. His best-known songs include “Os Maridos das Outras,” “Dona Laura” and “Balada Astral,” while “Anda Comigo Ver os Aviões” became closely associated with his work in Os Azeitonas. Miguel Araújo and António Zambujo presented an extended series of joint concerts at Lisbon’s Coliseu dos Recreios and Coliseu do Porto, later documented on 28 Noites ao Vivo nos Coliseus. He subsequently developed Casca de Noz as a solo stage show, performing his songs alone and connecting them through spoken stories.
