Mik Artistik's Ego Trip in Birmingham

Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip is a British comedy-rock and spoken-word trio formed in Leeds in 2004 by artist and performer Mik Artistik. Everyday observations become surreal songs and stories in pieces such as “Sweet Leaf of the North” and “Plastic Fox”; Iggy Pop has championed the former on his BBC Radio 6 Music programme. The trio have made repeated appearances at Glastonbury Festival, often performing several times during the same edition. They have taken the same three-person format to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe: Mik leads the songs and improvised spoken passages, accompanied by guitarist Jonny Flockton and bassist Benson Walker.
