Mike & The Mechanics in London

Mike & The Mechanics are a British pop-rock band formed in 1985 by Genesis guitarist and bassist Mike Rutherford as a separate songwriting project. Their best-known songs include “Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground),” “All I Need Is a Miracle,” “The Living Years” and “Over My Shoulder,” with Paul Carrack and Paul Young among the group’s original lead singers. The band first toured in 1986, bringing its shared-vocal format to the stage with Carrack and Young. Rutherford introduced a new touring lineup in 2010 featuring Andrew Roachford and Tim Howar; the group later returned to UK theatres for the Looking Back Over My Shoulder Tour in 2019 and the Refuelled! Tour in 2023.
