Mike Farris in Nashville

Mike Farris is an American singer and songwriter whose music draws on soul, blues, gospel and roots rock. He first became known as the lead singer of Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies, whose records included a self-titled debut and Magnolia, before establishing a solo career with albums including Salvation in Lights and Shine for All the People. The latter received the Grammy Award for Best Roots Gospel Album. During the 1990s, Mike Farris toured extensively as the frontman of Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies. His solo work later found a home in the Sunday Night Shout performances at Nashville’s Station Inn, documented on the live album Sunday Night Shout! His festival history also includes appearances at Bonnaroo and MerleFest.
