Mike Viola in Los Angeles

Mike Viola is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer from Massachusetts whose work centers on power pop and guitar-led rock. He fronted the Candy Butchers, releasing records including Falling into Place and Hang On Mike, and sang the lead vocal on “That Thing You Do!”, the title song written by Adam Schlesinger for the film of the same name. The Candy Butchers toured as an opening act for They Might Be Giants, bringing Viola’s songs to clubs and theatres across the United States. His later solo concerts have included both one-man performances and sets with a rock band, including appearances at Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles.
