About Milky Chance
Milky Chance is a German duo formed in Kassel in 2012 by singer-guitarist Clemens Rehbein and percussionist-producer Philipp Dausch. Their indie pop draws on folk, electronic music and reggae rhythms. The debut album Sadnecessary introduced their signature song “Stolen Dance” and also included “Down by the River”; later albums include Blossom, Mind the Moon and Living in a Haze.
The Sadnecessary Tour took Milky Chance through Europe and North America in 2014 and 2015, including a 2015 appearance at Coachella. The duo followed it with the Blossom Tour in 2017 and returned to international theatres and festivals on the Living in a Haze Tour in 2023.
