Mireille Mathieu in Munich

Mireille Mathieu is a French chanson and pop singer, born in Avignon in 1946. She became known in the 1960s through songs including “Mon credo,” “Paris en colère” and “La Dernière Valse”; “Une femme amoureuse” later became another enduring part of her repertoire. She made her Olympia debut in Paris in 1965 as part of a show headed by Sacha Distel. Her international concert career later brought her repeatedly to Russia, including performances at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow.
