About Misty's Big Adventure
Misty's Big Adventure were a British alternative-pop group formed in Birmingham in 1996 and led by singer and songwriter Grandmaster Gareth. Their eccentric, brass-heavy songs mixed pop hooks with cabaret humour; key releases include the album The Solar Hi-Fi System and the single “Fashion Parade.”
The group toured the UK in support of The Zutons and The Magic Numbers, then played its own club dates and performed at Glastonbury Festival. These appearances established a live format built around a large ensemble rather than a conventional guitar-band lineup.
Misty's Big Adventure concerts featured brass, keyboards and percussion, accompanied by the costumed dancer known as Erotic Volvo.
