Artist
Miyuki Kawanaka is a Japanese enka singer, born in 1955, who began recording under her current stage name in the 1970s. She is known for songs including “Futari-zake,” “Yarazu no Ame” and “Nirinso,” which became enduring parts of her repertoire. After “Futari-zake” established her as a major recording artist, Miyuki Kawanaka built her stage career around enka recitals in theatres and concert halls. Her performances feature live accompaniment and spoken introductions between songs, while repeated television appearances brought that repertoire to NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen.
