Mo Amer is a Palestinian American stand-up comedian, actor and writer, born in Kuwait in 1981 and raised in Houston. His comedy draws on his experience as a Palestinian refugee, family life and Arab American identity. He co-created and starred in the Netflix series Mo, appeared in Ramy, and released the stand-up specials The Vagabond and Mohammed in Texas. Mo Amer toured internationally as part of the comedy trio Allah Made Me Funny, then developed a long live association with Dave Chappelle as an opening act at theatres and arenas. His solo sets became the Netflix specials The Vagabond and Mohammed in Texas, recorded before audiences at the Paramount Theatre in Austin.
