Mohamed Abdo is a Saudi singer, composer and oud player born in 1949 in Jizan. His repertoire is rooted in khaleeji music and Saudi song, and includes enduring titles such as “Al Amaken,” “Laylat Khamees” and “Bint Al Noor.” He is also known by the honorific “Artist of the Arabs.”

A series of London concerts in 1997 marked his return to public performance after several years away. He later headlined Riyadh Season concerts at Mohammed Abdo Arena, the venue named after him.
