Mon Laferte in San Jose

Mon Laferte is a Chilean singer-songwriter, born in 1983, whose music encompasses Latin pop, rock, bolero and ranchera. She is known for songs including “Tu falta de querer,” “Amárrame,” “Amor completo” and “Mi buen amor,” and for albums such as Mon Laferte Vol. 1, La trenza, Norma and Seis. She performed at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival in 2017 and toured material from La trenza on the Amárrame Tour. The Norma era brought further international dates, including a 2019 performance at Coachella. Her headline shows have included Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City and Movistar Arena in Santiago. Silvana Estrada is a Mexican singer-songwriter born in 1997 in Xalapa, Veracruz. She writes chamber folk rooted in Latin American song traditions, accompanying her voice on the Venezuelan cuatro. Her 2022 album Marchita and songs including “Te Guardo” and “Si Me Matan” are central works in her catalogue. In 2022, Silvana Estrada took Marchita on tour in a concert format built around her voice and cuatro, often supported by strings and percussion. She also performed at Newport Folk Festival that year and at Glastonbury Festival in 2023.
