Monophonics in Portsmouth

Monophonics are an American psychedelic soul and funk band formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2005. Led by singer and keyboardist Kelly Finnigan, the group is known for albums including Sound of Sinning, It’s Only Us and Sage Motel, as well as songs such as “Promises” and “Last One Standing.” The group has headlined hometown shows at The Independent in San Francisco as part of a touring history built in clubs, theatres and festivals. Monophonics later recorded full-band sessions for Seattle radio station KEXP, bringing material from Sound of Sinning and It’s Only Us into a live setting at KEXP.
