Mumiy Troll in St. Petersburg

Mumiy Troll is a Russian rock band formed in Vladivostok in 1983 by singer and songwriter Ilya Lagutenko. The group plays alternative and pop rock, and its best-known recordings include the albums Morskaya and Ikra, as well as the songs “Utekay,” “Vladivostok 2000” and “Medveditsa.” In 2001, the band performed “Lady Alpine Blue” at the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen. North American club tours followed, including an appearance at SXSW in Austin. In 2013, the group founded the international V-ROX festival in Vladivostok and performed as part of its program.
