Artist
Münchener Freiheit are a German pop-rock band formed in Munich in 1980. Their best-known songs include “Ohne dich (schlaf ich heut Nacht nicht ein),” “Tausendmal du” and “So lang’ man Träume noch leben kann.” Under the shortened name Freiheit, they also released English-language recordings, including “Keeping the Dream Alive.” At the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet, the band performed “Viel zu weit” for Germany. After founding singer Stefan Zauner left in 2011, the group’s later full-band concerts featured Tim Wilhelm on lead vocals.
